The short version. This site should work for you whether you use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification, voice control, or none of those. We build it to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. If something gets in your way, call the shop at (469) 777-6701 and we will fix the page and take care of whatever you were trying to do.

Our commitment.

Extreme Hail & Collision is committed to making our website and our shop usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Someone with a hail-damaged car needs an estimate and a repair date, and getting those should not depend on how well a person sees a screen or handles a mouse. We treat accessibility as part of doing the job right, not as a legal checkbox.

This statement covers extremehailcollision.com and all of its pages.

The standard we build to.

We build and maintain this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG 2.1 AA is the benchmark most commonly used to measure whether a website meets the expectations of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and it is the standard referenced by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

We consider the site substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: the guidelines are met across the site, with the exceptions noted under known limitations below. Conformance is self-assessed. We review the pages ourselves against the success criteria, using both automated checks and manual keyboard and screen reader testing, rather than relying on a scanning tool alone.

What we have done.

Concretely, on these pages:

Assistive technology.

The site is intended to work with current versions of the common combinations, including NVDA and JAWS with Windows browsers, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, TalkBack on Android, Dragon voice control, browser zoom, operating-system text sizing, high-contrast and dark modes, and switch or keyboard-only navigation. We test the pages we change with a keyboard and with a screen reader before publishing them.

If your setup does not work well here, that is useful information and we want it. Tell us what you use and what happened.

Known limitations.

We would rather name the gaps than pretend there are none.

We are working with our vendors on the first two, and we will update this section as it changes.

Getting service another way.

Nothing about this business requires you to use the website. If the site is not working for you, or you would simply rather talk to a person, you can do all of it by voice:

Call (469) 777-6701 during shop hours: Monday to Friday 9:00a to 6:00p, Saturday 10:00a to 1:00p. There is no charge and no difference in service or pricing for handling things this way.

The shop itself.

Our building at 1101 Ohio Dr #111 in Plano has accessible parking near the entrance and a step-free way in. If you need help getting from your vehicle to the office, or you would like us to come out to your car to write the estimate, call ahead or ask at the door and someone will come out. If getting to us is the obstacle, ask about pickup and delivery.

Tell us about a barrier.

If something on this site is in your way, we want to know, and we will fix it. You do not need to explain the technical problem or use the right terminology. Telling us which page you were on and what you were trying to do is enough.

How to reach us about accessibility

Phone: (469) 777-6701, and ask for the owner.

Email: contact@extremehailcollision.com, with "Accessibility" in the subject line.

Mail: Extreme Hail & Collision LLC, 1101 Ohio Dr #111, Plano, TX 75093.

In person: come by during shop hours and ask for the owner.

What happens next: we aim to acknowledge you within 14 days. We will tell you what we found, what we are going to do, and roughly when. Straightforward fixes usually go up sooner than that. If a fix depends on a third-party vendor, we will say so plainly and give you a working alternative in the meantime rather than leaving you waiting.

If you are not satisfied with how we handled it, ask for the owner directly. A person at the shop reviews every accessibility report. It does not go into a ticket queue somewhere.

How we keep it up.

Accessibility is ongoing work, not a certificate we hang on the wall.
